New rifle owner JW15

Just picked up yesterday a new to me jw15 and a new T/C Compass in 7mm08. Off to the range this weekend with a dozen different types of ammo to see if it wants to shoot any of those. I will post results after trialling. Of course I'll put some through the 7mm whilst I'm there.

How much did you pay for the JW15?

$300 scoped, i believe it was originally sold as package as it only has cheap scope on it.

Thanks northdude, as a 1st time owner I'm sure I'll have plenty of fun and maybe a little frustration. I've read that plenty of them shoot ok. This one feels like it has a pressure point at front of fore grip which I've read some like and some don't, guess I'll find out soon enough.
What sort of comp you shooting?

Does it have a synthetic stock or a wooden one?

If you haven't already done it, make sure you clean the rifle out thoroughly before using it. I read that Norinco coats their rifles for shipping with a grease-like substance that can cause issues if you don't remove it before use.
