Hi. I’ve noticed the magazine in my Ruger American .22lr sticks. When I move the release action the magazine has to be pushed down from the top. I’ve cleaned it an sprayed with Inox but has not made any difference. When new the magazine would drop out when the latch was pushed. Any advice appreciated.

Inox or any oil will attract dust and exaggerate your issue. It will certainly hinder feeding from magazine.

Is the bolt through the middle of the mag tight? Any crud in the mag well?

I’m sure there was tons less mag issues three decades ago .. quality control during production Seems to be slipping. Mags falling out in long grass at night. Should not b happening
