Custom stock recommendations for CZ455

Seeking any recommendations for an aftermarket stock/chassis for a bull barrel 455 in .17HMR.
It’s a field rifle for stalking with a strap and spotlighting from vehicles, not bench shooting. I will be bedding the action and happy to weight the butt as it’s a little front heavy as is.

Gotta get this sorted before the new WA act is in.

Thanks in advance for all constructive replies 8-)

MDT would be my preference.

You don't need to bed an aluminium chassis.

I got the impression that a chassis stock is a bit heavy for hunting that involves offhand shooting or carrying a rifle for long periods. Or has the technology improved?

I don't have any issue shooting off-hand (I actually prefer the pistol grip for off-hand), but for carrying, a chassis rifle is likely to be heavier than preferable for most of us. Probably not to the extent that you won't take it but you certainly need to be aware of it before you head out. Removing the scope to carry it in a safe hard case is a good option to protect the scope and make the rifle lighter and more manageable - you can mount the scope when you get into the area you're looking to hunt in. A single-point sling also makes the weight of the rifle less of an issue as it simply hangs across your shoulders, freeing up both hands. But a polymer carbine with a red-dot or 1-6x optic is going to be significantly lighter to carry for several days of bush walking. For farm work I think most people are using vehicles and perhaps having a stroll after driving to likely places on the properties.

It's very hard to beat the 2.6kg Rossi 1892 in .44Mag for a pure bush stalking rifle :-)

For more about lightness there is this thread.

Mine has a Boyd’s stock and does the job well and looks good. When I bought it down range swapped the black plastic stock with a Boyd’s from the laminated model

The MDT XRS and KRG Bravo chassis stocks look to be lighter with a more traditional form factor, but they aren't compatible with the CZ 455.
