Four Youtubers having some fun

Post by bladeracer » 03 Aug 2022, 11:38 pm

Eric, Matt, Dave and Ted (Iraqveteran8888, AirArmsHuntingSA, 22plinkster, TedsHoldOver) pitting a pair of .22LR's against a pair of PCP air-rifles at varying distances just for fun. Field positions, vague time limits, ranges from 100yd to 350yd. This is what "competition" shooting should be :-)

The 22lr accuracy exceeded my expectations. I bet they were using some pretty fancy ammo.
At what point does lack of maintenance become patina?

I think they put some time in to find what ammo their rifles like :-)

I presumed Eric was using Plinkster's ammo he settled on for his voodoo - that way they could share elevation data (which I think we saw). That's a tiny group they shot at the longer ranges - normally we see groups like that on the 100m line, but I guess the wind is a fair bit worse right on the coast here at Malabar, particularly in winter.

Anschutz 1712 .22LR versus FX Impact M3 .22 slug gun - comparing 40gn bullets at around 1040fps launched via combustion and compressed air.
