Have you checked them before and after?

Have not been shot yet. (Been slack) But feed OK.
Hoping they kill a tad better and still very be accurate.
I don't expect them to mushroom but might "start" to mushroom. Searching around suggests flat points kill better. I intend to put one through a few milk cartons full of water as part of the accuracy test.

I have measured a few with a mitutoyo micrometer and no measurable change to the diameter. But you can see they have been pushed back into the case by perhaps upto 0.010"

Flat points definitely kill better I used Keith type semi what cutter projectiles for about 7 years in the 90s left round noses for dead and our past 150 yards were far superior to jacketed Hollow Point bullets as well[/quote

More info pls. That sounds like centrefire?

This certainly indicates the flat bullets start to mushroom. But stupidly the test is done at 5 yards.

I like/liked the Australian manufactured Winchester 40 grain Power Points and similarly subsonics.
The import Winchester 40 grain subsonic I currently have is not the same product.
I've tried a few CCI products due to price, but found them to be 'dirtier' and no more consistent or accurate.

What 42 grain are you referring to?

Winchester offers the 40gn Powerpoint and Subsonic in 40gn and 42gn options with "Max" added to the name.

Also Winchester has it's 'super suppressed' 45gr Round nose subsonic. Same velocity as normal sub's but at 45gr.
