Good rifles, have the later 2E but would like a Model 2 also. What year is that one?

Classic quality rifle . I have a 2E now but have also used a No 1 and 2 in the past . Solid action , threaded barrel tenon , tiger tail walnut stock . It does not get any better than that . Bed them from the front action ring to just in-front of the forend action screw . Glue in an alloy pillar to support the center action screw . Free float the remainder of the forend channel but only needs a fine thin relief gap down each side of the barrel to keep it looking good .

In my day Krico . Walther , Anschutz , Brno , Browning , were all good quality rifles . Although I did have a Winchester auto 22 once that shot extremely well and was brilliant on running rabbits .

Beautiful piece of kit. He lent to you? Did he get it back?
I have a Brno 2 E. Made in 1983 and is still as accurate as ever. It has Beechwood stock. :)

They still get good money for them over here usually around $700 upwards. Currently I've got an Anschutz a Mauser and an old sportco semi and a baikal in the 22lr fleet

The 2E Export model usually had a walnut stock . Did he buy it new or secondhand ?

"lent it to you" - not in W.A.
You would have to be licensed to that specific rifle.
