Never knew they were glued on.
Why would you want to do that?

Just epoxy or screwed as well. I have used a thin smear of epoxy under some of my bases but they are screwed as well.

I do it so as not to drill an original old receiver. I'm not that familiar with springer air-rifles but the tube looks pretty thin to me for drilling and tapping screws.

I think I used Araldite when I put one on an old .22, but there are probably more modern epoxies that are better suited to the job.

It worked fine for the job, but thinking back now I don't think it was Araldite as it was fairly easy to remove when I finished with it. I don't recall having to use heat to break the bond, but it was about 2015-ish. I put a scope on my father-in-law's rifle for him as he'd always wanted a scope but it wasn't designed for mounting one. I also converted it from single-shot into a 10rd detachable-magazine repeater as he'd always wanted that as well. He died about a year later though.

Normal soft solder should work??
It would have the advantage of having to use far less heat than silver solder, this reciever is pretty thin

I recon it would as long as surfaces are prepped properly. Holds radiators together pretty good

Solder won't stick to an aluminium radiator.

I'd use Devcon.

I have used JB Weld with good result, I suspect Devcon may be very similar or identical.
