Which range for 22wmr?

Hi guys, just bought a new rifle in 22wmr with the intention of going to Springvale to sight it in, however, just read their range rules and no magnum rounds allowed. Am i right in thinking my nearest range will now be Eagle Park for the 22wmr?

22 mag and 357 and 44 mag prob ok It’s prob things like 7 mm rem mag and weatherby mags they. Don’t want Just a guess. I’m not a range person

Yep, and only subsonic as well I believe.

Definitely not Springvale.
If you want to sight at 25 meters first eagle park would be closest.
But you could sight at 100 at Lang Lang rifle club assuming they’re still going. About an hour south.
22lr gives you a lot more options.

Not quite correct, all 22S, L, and LR are permitted, but HV above 1200fps is not to be used after 8pm Mon to Sat nor at all on Sunday. 22mag and 17HMR are not permitted at all.

They must have changed the rules at Springvale. I've had my 22 mag there a number of times. All rimfire were allowed. Haven't been in a year or so though.

22Mag and 17HMR have been prohibited since at least 2016, I don't have a copy of SSR's older than that, but Rule 13.1.1 is still in effect. If you have used your Mag a number of times then you have simply gotten away with it, good luck, but don't be surprised if one day you are asked to leave the range.

22 mag and 17 HMR can be used on the first two standing positions at far left. The policy changed after the range upgrade last year. Just about every time I have been there this year someone has been shooting one of these calibres. The signs at the range still say 22lr only though so haven't been updated. Give them a call to verify/book a spot given there are only two of them.
