Jennageit,

Apologies for missing the the initial member intro but I will get to that shortly.

I noted your somewhat historical request for a Fieldman (NAUGHTON) .22Mag.
Just enquiring if you had located one as I am currently looking to thin out part of my stock.

I have a Fieldman (NAUGHTON) .22 Magnum as manufactured by M. A. NAUGHTON Pty Ltd of Warrandyte Victoria.
It is currently fitted with the sporty timber thumbhole stock and also comes with the standard timber stock.
Includes the hard to find 5 round magazines (x2) and is set-up with a CRISSCOPE 4x38.

It has some minor pitting to the outer heavy barrel and the extractor claw may need some finessing by a gunsmith to assist with clean and consistent case extraction.

Let me know if you or your friend is still interested. I'm happy to send you any pics you require.

Regards,

JLC

Gday,
I'm new to this site so hope I don't step on any toes.
I'm interested in your Fieldman so would it be possible to get some pics of the rifle ,both stocks, pitting on the barrel and anything you think is relevant? Have you shot it for accuracy at all? Also a description of the bore(any damage)and the price you're chasing?. Maybe PM me if possible. That's if it hasn't been sold.
Thanks for your time

Paul.

Nice lever action. Unique looking rifle. Must admit I'd like to put a few rounds through one to see what it's like.

I'm hoping to pick up the 22mag thumbhole Fieldman I bought recently. If the stock finish warrants it I'll strip it & re-finish it. Bought a pack of the maxi-mag 32gn to try in the old girl once I finally get some range time with it.

Hehehe I knew Deano would sniff this one out in an instant ;-)

That lever-action is a thing of beauty.

Jesus Ben.. Are you still live. Long time since I heard from you. Haven't heard from the guy with the lever but I would be keen.

I know of 3 and I don’t think any of those are them. So that is 6.

Finally picked my thumbhole 22mag model back in May & I've fitted a scope & tested a few different brands of ammo.
The stock is fine but i have to fit a butt plate as the original was not supplied.
When I pulled the rifle apart I found that the front part of the lower assemble was cracked. This whole assembly housing is plastic. The previous owner must have used Araldite in an attempt to repair the front action screw point. I went with a more permanent means of repair - plastic welding. The repair worked well & is more solid than the previous repair.
There's more time to be spent with the rifle on the range, but so far it has been a very enjoyable experience.

That is the two pieces that are guaranteed to break. Buttplates turn to shrapnel and the trigger guards all crack.
