I'm in no hurry and have a couple of boxes of 165gr nosler bts there as well, so it'll be a while before i pull them and put in my own powder. It was pretty much right in the middle of the box, so only 9 or ten rounds left (it's been a while, i forget exactly how many are left) so it'll be a job for a rainy day when i'm bored.

You'll have to let me know your thoughts. I've been thinking for a while I need to get a 'hunting' .22 and stop wrecking my Savage MkII BTVS. It's too heavy to lug around all night and having been fixing a lot of bunnies lately, so the poor stock is showing it.
I was thinking the cheap model CZ and maybe a Redfield, and like the idea of the 50mm objective, as I do most of my hunting at night.
I dare not tell Lindsay, he turns his nose up at my Leupolds!

For a walk about their VX1 are perfect and aren't expensive.

Pouring powder over the lawn is a waste of an opportunity for some fun . Had to dispose of around a pound of powder a couple months back so the cousin, his son and I poured it down a bull ants nest in several of the holes. Left a nice little powder trail to light then stood back and admired the little volcanoes complete with ants on fire spewing out the top like little fireballs. I'll see if I can upload the video tonight or tomorrow and post a link. Have been following the thread on here about home made forges cause I want to pour molten aluminium into one of these ants nest then dig it up.

I've seen guys with cases lined up in the holder-tray fill the same case twice. A lot of the excess just falls outside the brass once they lift the funnel and on a holder-tray with deer recesses it would all hide in there.
Not saying it's easy to do. You'd have to be distracted/not paying close enough attention to do it but I can see it inevitably happening once. if you sat the projectile in on top of that.
Just theorizing here of course.
