I always thought the figure for amount you can store in your safe was precise. I'm looking at just getting a 3 storage safe any way. Going to be awhile before II catch up to every ones level lol

OK fair enough. I guess I'll just buy a few different packages of ammunition and test them out. Lucky yous told me because I was planning to buy the brick straight away hahaha

any one have a norinco .22lr jw-15 and have any suggestions on the ammunition ?

Cheers

You mean it's literally the same. Or that's it's just a similar gun ?

Fairly sure you can still buy it. Just has to be delivered to and registered at your local gun shop.

Need some advice ASAP please. So these are the two options i have;

1 - $350 norinco .22 jw15 synthetic which includes aluminium scope mounts & generic 3-9x40 rifle scope (I checked a few different sites selling the combination but no other details on the scope is given)

2 - $255 norinco .22 jw15 synthetic without scope but you get two 5 clip magazines

So im not sure if its better save the $100 and buy a different scope or it doesn't make a difference?

3 gun safes are tiny, will only hold two. 6 guns are a little better, might hold 3-4. I'd suggest something a little larger still. It's cheaper to get a larger safe now than another safe later, and you also need space for your ammo.

As I'm sitting at home with a bung arm I thought best go have a look at these safe's.
I looked at the 14 gun safe it was finished well with a very solid door and a fairly solid frame (all folded steel) it had 4 holes on the bottom and 4 at the rear to secure it to floor and wall.
It needs 2 keys or 1 key and the key pad to open, also a keypad reset button is located inside the door (red button)
The other thing is the part that the guns fit through (grey foam) or sit against is not fixed and you may push it off the brackets it sits into but easy fix.
I would probably get the 20 as I like the way the guns are stored around the safe not front and back

I think brett would argue "the one with the biggest toys" wins

We're talking biggest toys right? :D

My advice on safe's buy the biggest heaviest mofo safe you can afford. I have 2 large >180kg fridge size safes for the toys and a couple smaller ones for bolts & pistols. Big heavy safes are a PITA to move but being over 150kg don't need to be bolted down and also at that weight it'd take several blokes to move it. Also make sure it meets the F.A.R safe storage requirements as many safes sold on eBay as gun safes don't comply.

Brett, do you still bolt down your 150kg+ safes?

A random thief who comes across one obviously isn't going to get away with the thing, I just picture them doing something pointless like tipping it over and having some half-assed attempt at getting in.

You wouldn't lose anything but I can see everything in side getting bashed about and maybe your safe getting damaged/wrecked in the process. Where as if it's bolted as well maybe they just give up.

So I imagine anyway.

I propose a standard of finding the sum of all your calibres to get your "toy rank".

e.g.

Two .30 cal rifles = a rank of 0.600

My .416 and a .30 cal would give me a rank of 0.716

I reckon Brett must be on about rank 5.00  :D

Other puny calibre rifles... What man would want you now?
