Even if the Australian manufacturers don't support you.

Sorry, but the way they've treated a couple of guys on here is poor (to put it very mildly).

I like the ruger american, but I was looking seriously at a lithgow a few months back when I was adding another .22. Then when I learned about their after sales "support", I decided not to.

Eventually, I got the lithgow model 12.

sandgroperbill, yeah, i considered that and the magazine issues before paying a deposit. It just looks and feels so nice :-)

I will promote the Lithgow la101 if its good, if there are issues and Lithgow don't do their best to fix i will be letting everyone know for sure.

Does any one have a stainless Marlin XT 22 TSR.
If so what does it shoot like? say 50m to 80m?

That's impressive - was that a one-off? What's the intrinsic accuracy of that rifle? How does it perform with 5 and 10 shot groups?
At what point does lack of maintenance become patina?

Allan, doesn't look like anyone herehas that particular rifle or I'm sure they would have answered.

Some of the guys would own marlins though, so may be able to give you a general idea. It may be worth starting its own thread to ask the question

They shoot very well. I have used one from time to time and it shoots just as well if not better than my Brno 2.
