I was minding my own business popping and few rounds in the paper.
I had one dud round but no jams. The had a spend cartridge chambered and one in the tube, I opened the tube to load a round and when I opened the action to load the next round it named. I backed the lever slightly and the next round also entered the breach, this caused the first round to go over the internal plate and fall to the bottom of the action.
I was aware of all this happening, I was not aware that somehow another round had fallen earlier in the session, I had been cycling and firing the gun with a round jammed in the bottom of the action. (VERY FRIGHTENING). I am so happy to exchange it for the Marlin XT-22.
