can i get some info as to where in nsw is good goat hunting country?

Most of the private properties that used to allow blokes on to hunt goats no longer do so as they are worth good money to the land holder. Your best bet would be to get your "R" licence and look for forests in the north and west of the state. Just don't get caught poaching on private land, "we" get pretty pissed at that.

thanks mate ive got my r licence already and ust wanted to stock up the freezer. will check out those suggested forests cheers
