Hunting nsw state forests

Post by Bosbefok » 13 Apr 2015, 9:48 pm

Hi guys, I have been enjoying this forum for a while now. Lots of useful info.

I have been hitting a few state forests here in nsw and have taken quite a few pests. Pigs, foxes, rabbits and heaps of goats. I was wondering if anyone else here hunts NSW SF's and was looking to tag along or if I can tag along.

Murderers need not apply. :sarcasm: No weird broke back mountain stuff. Just hunting and beers by the fire type thing (fully clothed). I am keen to try for some fallow deer this season if anyone is interested. I live just south of Sydney. Cheers

Why don't you just keep on hunting by yourself....it's a lot safer?

As far as I know you have to book in to hunt when you have passed the R game license requirements and paid the fees.

Just wondering - I am heading up from Vic to NSW this weekend and would like to zero a rifle I have and maybe do some plinking.

If I was to shoot in a NSW state forest do I need to apply for a NSW state forest permit and book to shoot in a specified state forest? I know you're ok in private property in NSW with an interstate licence but not sure on the go with being from interstate and wanting to shoot in a state forest?

You need to hunt with different people if you think being alone is safer than being with someone who can help you in case of an emergency.

I have to agree with this.
Besides, my Dad always told me to never drink alone. How do you enjoy a cold one around the fire at night if you are by yourself?
