Pricey fox pelts.

Post by Elmer » 01 Jul 2018, 5:37 pm

Whent for a nice Sunday arvo drive to Hahndorf today and did a bit of the tourist thing, anyway dropped into a shop that sells just Aussie stuff leather goods etc.
As I was having a look around I noticed several fox pelts on a hook and went to investigate, nice pelts until I saw the price tags F..K ME prices STARTED at $150 all the way up to $200 for a bloody pelt.
Is this what tourists shops are charging for a pelt these days?
cheers.

I heard that about a year ago. But try and sell a fox skin, nobody wants them.

I think if you could sell a good finished product there is a market. Just gotta find it.
I shot a beautiful fox last night and left it to rot.

I looked after a mates young dog who was going through the chewing stage, he found a fox skin I had tanned in my shed and chewed it to bits. I would have been cranky if it had cost me $200.

Wait till the animal lib/PETA mob hear of it. They'll put him out of business quick smart and claim foxes have been here so long they should be classified as native and protected.
