Bunnies for the pot.

Post by Elmer » 03 Sep 2019, 9:08 am

Well I got a request for some Bunnies for the pot the other day so I went to a spot that has always been productive and this time was no exception.
The lady wanted full sized Bunnies (no half ones) so head shots were in order.
The range averaged between 220 to 245 yards in a 20 to 25kph headwind making things interesting, my scope only goes up to 12x so them heads looked pretty small and with the gusty windy subtly blowing left to right, right to left it kinda made wind guesstimation tricky.
Anyway I got three nice plump Bunnies and $45.00 later (thats 15 bucks a Bunny) I could cover the cost of petrol and a little left over for an iced coffee or two.
cheers,
Sean

Thanks Stix....Wind call was a little off, It was a ginger one which I got through the neck...Headshots are cool , but it's all too easy shoot the nose or jaw off at long range.

Green grass, what's that and where do you get that from, Bunnings?

Yep back in the day the ole man had a sugar bag of Lanes traps and I'd set traps Friday arvo and Saturday and sell rabbits to the local butcher for 2/6 (about 25 cents) a pair and the skins to the local hide dealer.
Gee, he was tight and really picky. Don't know how much he sold the rabbits for but the ole man got shouted beers at the local. 8-)
Boom, Boom! Tikka, Tikka, Boom! Shoot first, video later.
