Quicky 22-250 vid.

Heres a quicky vid of a few Bunnies taken while dodging showers, yes you read right SHOWERS.
Been more than a couple of months since rain and hopefully that will kick in another breeding cycle, as usual it was windy, I reckon I would probably miss more than I hit on a calm day.
The 22-250 was again the weapon of choice, I just love how it anchors them on the spot even at long range...its rare to have one crawl away from this cal.
Anyway I hope you all enjoy the vid ....Would very much appreciate if you guys subscribe to my channel.
Cheers,
Sean.

Good shooting as always...

Still a few about then atleast the other invaders havent knocked them all out... :)

Hopefully these rains get them humping...
I think they will, these cooler days following the rains will have them getting all hot n horny, just in time for some fine may & June shooting & dining... ...
The only fear with rain like this at this time is a dose of the virus... :problem:

How do you go with the extraction of empty cases on that rig Elmer...?

Mine slam into the windage turret...bloody PITA...!

Did you have a similar problem & get it fixed...?

Yeah still a few, and like you said, our recent rain should bring on a humping bonanza.
Now mate, I don't have any issues with shells bashing the turrets....what rifle brand are you having issues with?

Its a Sako 85 Varmint...with maybe the same or similar scope to yours...Leo VX3 6.5-20x50 LR.

Every case smashes into turrets & goes anywhere...you either miss catching it or it falls back into the open action...outright bloody annoying i tell ya...!!!

Elmer , how do u hit a bunny at twice the range I can shoot an adult pig? Do u have some secret magic witchcraft going on ? What sort of three shot groups do u get at 100 m with the 250?

Blr,
First you need a good rangefinder, a good Anemometer, wind flag or streamer and a accurate ballistics chart which matches the ballistics of your chosen cal. I use Strelok pro and have drawn up a chart for ranges from 200 to 600yds in increments of 5 yards.
For wind at any range from 200 to 600yds my chart caters for strengths from 2.5 to 20 mph in 2.5mph increments from a 200yd zero.
My 250 with Hornady 55gn will average around. 6 at 100 for 3.
With Winchester 55gn ballistic silvertip would be around .25 to .35. at 100.

Keep up the good work. It’s nice to know there’s someone out there leading the way with long range accuracy ... it helps to prevent us from relaxing and encourages us to be moving forward , bettering ourselves to become the best we can be at what we do
