These are two out of five that I shot in the wee small hours of 18th March.

The other three are in the property owners fish bait freezer. (lucky I've got a bait freezer as well)
This pair was part of a bunch of three that fronted at 2 am.
Got these, but the third one refused to come into range.

Then, at 4 am another pack of six turned up.
So I shot number three and four of them cleanly, but was off the mark a bit with number five, and all but severed the hind leg
He disappeared over a ridge, and I couldn't find him come day break,, but I'm certain he would've bled to death fairly quickly.

I usually pop them into the bait freezer when I only get one at a time, and when there is enough in the freezer to make the trip
for the bounty worthwhile, I make the trip.
At least the Council officer appreciates them being frozen solid rather than a day or two old carcass that's been lying in the sun.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

You little rippa!

Top job mate, dogs are becoming a monumental issue across the country, WA is getting an ever worsening problem with them as they're being found more and more where they weren't before. It's high time more was done about them, but until then I guess we can sleep easy knowing we have lads like yourself who are into it, good work mate

You know there must be some types that turn up with them after they've been sitting in the back of the ute for a few days

It's great you guys get bounties for cleaning up pests in Oz

Yeah Mate, one of the council blokes told me that some blokes take em in when they are fly blown, and half their gut hanging out.

We only get bounties from some councils,, certainly not all.
And the $$$ amount is determined by the particular council.
At the moment it is $100 per dog over 14 weeks old,,, and $15 per pup up to 14 weeks of age.

A few years back, the dog problem was that bad that,, one particular council way north of where I am was paying $500 per adult dog.

For those that haven't had experience, the pic of the dogs in the freezer reminded me of this pic that I took about 12 months ago of a paw print
with a glove for size comparison.
Being in the freezer the way they are shows the paws very well.

Prime Mutton = Good Paddock

Weight wise I have no real idea, but well in excess of 20 kg
Another one I shot a while back was bigger than our German Shepherd.

Actually I've never yet shot a dog that was actually coming in for a drink.
These ones were all part of a major recycling operation,,,, as below;

a) property owner has sheep.
b) dogs attack and kill sheep.
c) property owner dumps sheep
d) pigs move in to eat rotting sheep
e) I shoot pigs
f) dogs move in to eat rotting pigs
g) I shoot the dogs
h) property owner is happy, and breeds more sheep.

Just a big circle really.

Well done mate, you could make some extra cash by selling them to Chinese resturants
