We use 222, 223, 22/250, 243 and 204 on foxes and feral cats. And boy have we shot a lot of them.

For a dedicated fox and cat rifle, I would pick the 204 over the rest any day of the week. Unless it's blowing hard and then I will pull out the 25/06

The 204 has very light recoil, shoots flat and is an emphatic killer on those sized animals.

Sad to say for me there isn't enough population of cats rabbits or foxes for me to have a dedicated rifle for it. which it wasn't the case as it's fun. My Cat rifle has been whatever I had at the time chasing other species, my last 3 were shot with a .22-250, .308 and .25-06 :lol: . The last 2 were pretty spectacular......
