Indigenous cat hunting

It seems the indigenous population up north are helping to keep the feral cat population in check.

Good news in my book.

I remremember watching a Malcolm Douglass documentary where he was sitting around the campfire with some indigenous fellas, they were cooking a cat over the coals.
Malcolm commented that they consider cats a delicacy.

I can confirm that cats are quite good to eat. Their a lot like rabbit.

They have their work cut out for them if they want to put a dent in the population, the Gibson is a big desert and it's rumored that cats have evolved to the point they don't need a water source to survive, apparently they can get enough water from bugs and reptiles that they pig out on.

Definitely good to see a community making an effort.

We are capable of making species extinct if we make only a minor effort. We have no excuse for allowing feral to go unchecked.

I wish they'd unlock parks for recreational hunting of ferals.

Well, one things for certain, with the number of cats wondering around at night they won't starve!
