A few .260 Bunnies

Post by Elmer » 13 Oct 2020, 11:20 am

Heres a few Bunnies i shot with the .260, the grass was pretty thick so 100gn Nos ballistic tips seemed to do the trick when skimming over the tops of weeds.
Ranges were from 395 to 475yds in windy conditions and as usual when i had fired the last round right on dusk , the resident fox made his move in picking up the deaduns.
The cheeky little s**t knew i had run out of ammo and stood there at the 475yd bunny with it in its mouth just eye balling me
Anyway , I hope you enjoy the short vid

Thanks Bill, i think theyre coming back, been a good amount of rain, plenty of pasture and the farmers crop
Also with thick pasture the rodents have plenty of cover from predators and spot lighters.

Agreed mate, it will plough through light vegetation where the lighter faster .22s simply blow up on impact.

Lol no mate still here, haven't been going out as much lately..weather..cost...age lol...family etc
LR is a bit hard at the moment, ****** of long thick pasture gives them plenty of cover and also makes locating warrens challenging
No, thats not mex poppy thank christ...how have you been?..

In this mans hands - it’s absolutely freaking lethal. Calibre aside - still need a wealth of experience and ability to pull down rabbit headshots at distance in the wind...and time and time again his videos show over and over his skill set.

If someone told me Elmer was outside, at distance and he wanted me dead ? - I’d commit suicide. Joke.

Thanks Tassie, very much appreciated...those head shot bunnies in windy conditions arent easy, especially when its blowing into your face and changes from left to right and right to left etc.
I remember my first" LR" kill with the .223 at a whopping 220yds, i was stoked lol..that was about 13 years ago.
Like i said before, if your ever in SA your more than welcome to come along for a sniping session.
P.S your death will be swift and painless
