Seriously though, any forest or property with greenery and water will have rabbits. All it takes is grass and water.
The more of this there is the more rabbits will prosper. Golf courses are a perfect example
Shooting in the forest the trick is typically finding them amongst the shrubbery, line of sight...
The best situation for shooting is when you can find a rabbit warren in an open area. A 'rolling hills' type landscape is what you want... Find a big warren on the side of a hill, set up on the other side and pop, pop, pop.
Take that into consideration when choosing your spots and it should hopefully take you to the motherload.
