I bet that had a voracious appetite for wildlife!
Do we know what it weighed?
Biggest I've taken was just under 7kg, but it had just had a nice big veal breakfast. Considering he wasn't a whole lot smaller in physical size than our dog, who weighed 17kg at the time, it brings home how much more slightly built foxes are than dogs.

I carry a 50kg digital luggage scale on me so I can note what things like this weigh, like a 46kg roo I had to finish off after a quarry truck cleaned it up - that was a beast to drag up the hill.

Probably the 2 biggest foxes I've shot. Long time ago,but the notes say the one in the summer coat went close to 10kg. No idea if that was confirmed but I do remember it was a big fox

Looks like one I saw shot down near Tenterfield years ago. Shorter nose, bigger and beefier than a “traditional “ fox. They called them “dog foxes”. Hinting at some interbreeding or a seperate sub species. I’ll leave that up to debate on this forum. Either way I’ll still blast them if I can

yeah , i know that makes sense. but there seems to be a difference in the traditional european "lean" fox and beefier bigger foxes with shorter noses . proof of darwin's theory of evolution ? feral cats seem to grow much bigger in the wild, i saw a monster of a feral cat out past warwick a month ago . it made a beeline for a buldozed pile of cleared timber so we couldn't get a shot off

Yeah they are simply fed better over a longer period. Just like their coat varies in colour.

I had a farmer was convinced that because the foxes he had on his property had white tips on their tales, they had bred with dingoes.

Fongoes or Doxes.

I know I can come across as a little bit blunt at x I'm still waiting to see the monster.
The amount of foxes I have shot in Gippsland this is just average size .

I saw a huge fox when I was bowhunting fallow in NSW recently, biggest one I've seen in 40 years of hunting.
It was just inside the state forest probably 200m from farmland. Disappeared behind a log about 40m away from me and then I lost him,
