Calls/whistles for foxes

I've used scotch bellows calls for hares and foxes with success,tin whistles,homemade Tenterfield whistles ( the expensive Silva fox call i bought is utter crap though ),lip squeaks,and imitating fox barks. I've also had success with jack rabbit and fawn in distress calls on my phone through a Bluetooth speaker. I think the most important thing is to actually have one that's hungry ! I've seen them completely ignore a previously effective call even from 50m,then others come bolting in from 500m with a single lip squeak.

I agree, I bought one of those silva fox callers, cheap and nasty and very easy to bend out of shape.
The fancy box they put it in cracks me up, like s**t with sugar sprinkled on it.

Hi , mine is just 2 brass shotgun case cut down and glued back to back with no primers it works well......

We recently ran NOD's (dual PVS14 & PVS7) + IR WML + Thermal Scope + Polaris setup and honed in about 5 Vulpes vulpes over a 2 hour period with the help of a new high powered 850nm IR spotlight fitted to the Polaris but these buggers didn't want to know us!

We tried a range of calls but they steered well clear, heads down while moving away from us slowly and not stopping for barely more than 1 second at most. Twas definately the new 850nm spotlight which was the culprit and not the calling
