Dust off your air rifles folks, it's mouse season and before too long we might have good reason to mount trophy mouse heads.

Well, no, not yet. This story from 13 months ago was a bit of journalistic mis-representation (fancy that, a journalist making s**t up, who'd a thought?) about Chinese research into stem cell technology regarding latent regenerative genes and the ability of some animals to regrow body parts ( think lizard tails), the gene spliced mice didn't grow antlers, but the structures on the skull from which antlers might grow, so not even spikers yet.

If it's reasonably short range, put a pellet in your air rifle backwards.
