Best SF in Vic to get pests?

Hi everyone, new to the forum

I've only been hunting properly for a couple months now. I don't have access to private land since I live in the city, so I'm restricted to SF only. I'm a "late joiner" and know close to nothing, although my time in the woods have taught me quite a bit.

So far I've been to a bunch of places, from Wombat (useless) to Beenak (way to dense to actually see anything). There is one small place that I've managed to see TONS of rabbit sign but didn't actually see any rabbits.

Right now I have a 22LR, but I just put in my PTAs for a 12g and a 223. I've been using the 22 on my hunts in the hopes of catching a rabbit/fox.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to find pests? Once I get the 223 I'd be keen for some feral goats

Have you down loaded the "more to explore" app?

Fringe country is generally more productive. (Where forest meets farm)

12g double and 223 are both good choices.

If you hunting "pests" maybe your looking in the wrong area,,, maybe try ACT,, close to parliament house.

I do have the app and have been looking for fringe country but haven't found anything yet (besides a mob of pigs that passed through which I didn't want to shoot with a 22LR lol).

Besides that, nada. I live in Melbourne CBD so it's easy for me to go pretty much any direction.
