Looks like some sort of infection the bunny had. Best not to pass it over to Charlie.
To me that looks similar to what my cousin had once, except he had it towards the back of his throat, they looked like white little suction cap things similar to the pic. Turned out it was from some sort of infection.
It'll shoot the fleas off a dog's back at five hundred yards, Tannen, and it's pointed straight at your head!

Its a Tapeworm cyst, those little white balls are the the first segment ( or head) of the tapeworm. I found one in a bunny a few weeks back...disgusting bloody things.

Pretty gross. Have seen perhaps a dozen over the years and always toss them. I'll take your word for it. Especially when you see the potential outcome.

what I have always believed it to be, usually found around the paunch in a blister like sack of clear fluid the eggs look like rice
its the reason why I always skin rabbits before feeding them to dogs

Shot on a hobby farm in August. Few sheep & goats. South West Victoria. Don't know if they drench. I'd say unlikely.

I think I have seen it before or something like it it’s cystic there’s a name for it will ask a mate who’s a meat inspector he knows the names of that sort stuff.
I’d wouldn’t eat it or give it to dogs myself there’s plenty more out there it’s very rare to see out of the thousands I’ve dressed out growing up with a pro trapper setting over 100 traps a day at times and catching near that many a night I’ve only seen things like that a very few times and was shown and told to throw it in the gut drum wash me hands and knife and get back to it. I just can’t remember what I was told it was the memory isn’t as good as it use to be but will ask a meat inspector I know that’s his specialty.

Ps don’t let things like that put you off eating any game meats unless you want to turn vegan you’d be very surprised how many beef cows go through the slaughter floor and get rejected by meat inspectors for similar things.

While I disagree with extreme vegans animal activists I do believe many Australians eat meat guilt free from super markets not knowing or want to know how there meat is processed. My self I like to be apart of the process so I know exactly what I’m getting.
As for pushing the envelope on meat past the best before date I seen above it’s a date put there to cover super markets asses not something I go off with beef.
LOOK SMELL TASTE works for me as my self and I’m sure others have had meat in date according to the label be no good. It’s really just a cover ass and guid.
Just look at aged dry beef it’s hung for a min of 4 months and it’s great. I know it is hung in a very controlled environment but does show how long meat will last before it turns bad.
But I don’t push my luck with the old dirty bird known as chicken it goes bad pretty quick

WARNING--Dont look here while eating ...!!

Speaking of Hydatids...how's this...cyst after cyst after cyst all built on one another.
And this was a doe that i rekon was in early stages of pregnancy...
I wonder how uncomfortable she wouldve been with a belly full of bubs as well...the cysts have pushed the bladder way out to the side.

Aside from the cysts, she was in amazingly good condition, & had a different fur that i kept to see if i could tan.

Anyway...this is by far the worst ive ever seen it...usually just see a little bubble like above...

ive put up a good few pics from diff angles to try & show the actual volume these vile things took up in the bunny's tummy.

dont look at this while eating....i just threw out my other hot cross bun from a cooler skwishy raisin rolled over my tongue while posting this...

Just check them over in daylight mate before you freeze em...or take pics with your mobile then look at them & zoom in--they stand out with pics taken with the flash on much easier than with naked eye--i think cos the light penetrates the cyst & illuminates the larve better..

If its any consolation...im sure id have eaten the worms infected ones, at least once or twice over the last 4-5 decades not knowing what it was...but i always cook them well so if thats the case, you'll be fine...

I hope this post goes out of my mind soon though, ive just defrosted & soaked one & now its in buttermilk for some Southern Fried Rabbit delight in couple of days... :?

If it is hydatits then it's not commonly found in wild rabbits. If it is it can be there and show virtually no symptoms.

The definitive host is the dog. So you must treats your dog's with worming tablets. If dog's don't have hydatits then they can't pass it on to rabbits and sheep.
