I once had 3 dogs come at me in anger, 2 blue healers and a kelpie that were attacking lambs up the back paddock. They showed no fear towards me which I found both scary and surprising. Luckily I was able to retreat to the ute, drove back down to the house and grabbed my Mini 14 and 2 30 round mags. Dogs were still chewing on the lamb when I got back up there, I shot the 3 of them without hesitation. I wouldn't want to have come across them unarmed and on foot cause I'm sure the outcome would have been fatal for me. I was driving out near Cobar in 2011 during the night and lost count of the number of feral cats I saw, I'd never have believed the numbers if I hadn't seen it myself. Maybe the politicians should put a bounty on feral cats & dogs to encourage a more active approach to reducing the numbers.

Nice trophy boar there Westy ;)

You forgot a certain bear though. You know, of the 'drop' variety.

Is that normal breeds for generations of feral dogs?

Or were they abandoned from a farm or something, now surviving on their own?

Not the kinds of dogs I expected.

Got bailed up by three cute fluffy lap dogs when I went for a walk once. :x
Ended up backing up for about a hundred meters before they went home. (was on a semi residential/rural road)
Wasn't particularly scared but I could see getting some bull**** animal cruelty charge if I had to beat them off.

I think these had run off from a farm and been living bush for a few years at least.

I identified them based on what they appeared to resemble most as none of them were purebreds.

One had a collar but no tags or identifiable writing on it.

A lot of Piggers lose dogs and well just can't be bothered finding them and voilà, the start of a feral dog!

Also other ferals will start out as a farm house dog and rouge!

They're just tools for some people mate, not companions.

Not my view but that's the way it is.

Plenty of people just have a look at the size of some of the Bastards and I can tell you that there not wild dog breeds!!!! Sorry but there are a lot of Assholes who use dogs and they could care less about there animals and other peoples livestock!!!!
