You nailed it OL FART - seriously though the blast from em isn't real pleasant after a while (ok if you're shooting) but not if you're standing to the sides, man do those things bark big time!! I usually end up with a headache after being near em for a few shots also its not unusual to end up with nose bleeds if you shoot em too much!! as my mate found out!

Having said that every time the beast goes off I laugh it near blows ya hat off!

Yep I reckon they'd be ringing regardless of earplugs and muffs! That muzzle blast would be somewhat ordinary too I'd imagine.

I'm not an expert on this but I think it reaches a level where you just can't protect against the sound. Ear muffs or not the waves are penetrating through the rest of your head and reach the ears.

I don't know what the limit is but it would be interesting to know. I reckon a few big bangers would top it?
