He didn't miss. No, no. It bounced off.

I read it on the internet so it must be true!

That's why you need a .308.

  Yeah some of the stuff you read on the net does make you laugh or scratch ya head, I might sell all mine and get a 50cal to be sure I kill em humanely. :D

I think Brett has mastered killing bunnies with the .50 now.

Maybe he can advise on some suitable hunting rounds for them

 One expensive way to hunt bunnies - it would have cost $600-$800 the other night alone  although having said that the muzzle blast probably would have wiped half of em out in one shot anyway, you could be onto something my son! :D

$12 a shot I think he said :(

Maybe just take the .416 Barret instead.

More economical and probably won't have any bounce off them rabbits....

I've switched to .416 Barrett for the bunnies cause I needed the extra velocity for those long range shots out past 100yds

Price has dropped significantly for the Hornady 750Gr AMAX, down to $10.35 a shot and reloads are costing me around $6 so not too bad. To make the .416 a little more affordable I've bought enough components to load 1000 rounds which came to $8.58 ea and $5.50 to reload. Therapy for small man syndrome is very expensive, I hope they find a cure soon. On a positive note, I've ordered a camera adapter for the scope so I can get some video of the 50 / 416 red misting some ferals :) Looks like it'll do the job and easily swapped between scopes, was going to make something but time is money so decided to buy this one.

That's getting better...

$5 - $6 a shot I could stomach for a little fun. $10 - $20.... Forget about it.

There's going to be a lot less come Thursday Night  and we might back up for a Friday shoot too. :D I reckon I could have shot another 100 without too much fuss, the bloody things were everywhere, I wasn't even bothering to shoot the ones at 20 or 30m away, they just sat there whilst their mates were getting smashed

We had an unsuccessful dear hunt a while ago and ended up sitting over a big rabbit warren we found for a while instead.

Even with the boom, boom, boom of a couple of .308's going off periodically 70-80 metres away they keep sticking their heads up.

Yeah a mate and I were sitting next to a warren only about 10m away shooting at another warren about 120 or 130m away and the young rabbits would just sit there

My mate had a shot one the other day and it sat there with bullets flying around it (3 shots before it buggered off) :unknown: others see you coming and run like hell
