white rabbit down

Well as the title says,,"Moby" the devil rabbit finally met his doom at the hands of a 40gr winnie sub  ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the bad news is that i didn't pull the trigger

a mate ,his son, my daughter and myself went out, mainly to let the kids have a shot and to get some dog food for the mates dog, the usual story, got there, set up his ute put the kids in the back after telling them a few safety rules and not to shoot the ute  or us

it all started well the kids shooting three in as many minutes, i gutted these straight away and threw the guts around as bait for the foxes, i shot two the last time i was on this place and they are all young and dumb :D

the rabbits must of known something wasn't right as they became very skittish and the kids started missing a few as they did the dodge dance, i hopped up on the back and promptly gut shot two  told the mate to get up and have a shot as he had been driving all night.......,,,if only i knew what would happen next

not two minutes went by when the call of "stop" went out, and we waited and waited and waited until,,, pop! the deed was done,,Moby had done his last houdini act.... as i looked down on him i thought mmmm not very big is he

the reason it took my mate so long to shoot was the fact that only the tips of his ears were showing and only now and then to boot,, but the rules were followed, head shot only on Moby ;) he deserved no less

he stayed up on the ute as we went around the track back to the first spot and just to rub salt into the wound shot a fox pup as well :D all in all a good night was had by all and while im sad that Moby is gone there is always ,,,,,,,SON OF MOBY

anyway a couple of pics plus my foxes,,,,10 rabbits for the night :D

Do you realize that you will go down in history as the "person" that killed the white rabbit. No more Lewis Carroll, no more red slippers, no more Alice Hope you and the children are happy now. Did you at least get the watch from the rabbit? now you think you got the whale as well? Is anything left?

Surprised the foxes didn't get to him ages ago.

White rabbit must stick out like dogs balls in the bush.

i thought the same but even though it was only a small rabbit it had a nice bit of kidney fat in him, they all do on this place which is a surprise as its dry as dust there. we have taken six foxes off the place, mainly pups, so that may help the bunnys and the wombat holes are everywhere so they can use them at a pinch 8-)
