Sheesh, how much profit do some businesses want? I mean, it's more than likely made in China for 40 cents.
Can make in no time.

That would be pricey at half the price.

You might be right about it being made in China, without reading everything on the website , the first thing I noticed was Aus owned ( not Aus Made )
Almost a sure sign of foreign made stuff.

I only ever had one tenterfield whistle, didn't master it in 10 seconds so I turfed it and went back to the button whistle.

Yeah some of them are pretty expensive. The silva fox whistle is $44. Heard they are meant to be really good once you learn how to get them whistling.

I have heard mixed reports on the Apex, not sure I'd bother spending $40 when you can make a Tenterfield for SFA and they work fine for me, I've got all sorts of fox whistles and honestly I find the Homemade Tenterfield to work fine but I mainly use the AHN Tenterfield Whistle as it's made from SS and it works fine also.

Fooked if I'd pay $40 for a fox whistle - bloody good ol styrofoam (wet it with ya tongue) and rub it on the window or side of the door works a treat when they are around and it cost nothing!

For those who struggle to use the Tenterfield, just keep trying and move the tongue around on the edge of the whistle (make sure the large hole is on the bottom) and just keep working the tongue around the edge and hole and eventually you will get a tune out of it and once you do it becomes so easy to do again you'll wonder why it took so bloody long to work out! Took me about 3hrs of spitting and farting to get a tune out of it but now its 2nd nature, bloody youngest daughter did it within mins! :unknown: bloody kids!

You know how it goes, some people just want to spend big money so they feel they bought the best.

I'll stick with the $5 option

I don't know if even that's the reason, I think some don't know how easy it is to make em so they find it easier to just buy one or they think these things must be special or do something diff to a homemade tenterfield? :unknown:

Me I just went around to a building site and got a piece of scrap tin they had in the rubbish pile, took it home and cut it into the lengths I needed, worked out where to drill 2 holes (1 hole bigger than the other) can't remember what size drill I used now sorry, I think I drilled the holes then bent it to suit, or I might have bent it then drilled the holes (can't remember now) :unknown: either way it wasn't hard to do and I got some good results (made a few with diff size holes) and kept the one that sounded the best to my ears.

At $10 a pop you could try 3 others and still break even on the other one

Never seen that design though, adjustable pitch with the bite is interesting.

A copy of one of these.

http://www.bestfoxwhistle.com/

The original version is english. http://www.bestfoxcall.co.uk/

Looks like they have copied our Tenterfield ( I got 1 from the site above about a yr ago for $20) and now we are copying his original. Could be Chinese too of course. Should arrive tomorrow.
