Winter rabbits.

Rabbits always taste better in the camp oven. Something about hunting it themselves even makes my kids eat more than usual.

Some of the best rabbit I've ever had was cooked in a camp oven, in the gravy from the previous 2 roasts.
We saved the juices in the billy can for 2 nights and did the rabbit in that ... delicious.

We only eat rabbits after the first snow because of Rabbit Fever.

So far we don't have rabbit fever in Australia and hopefully it never makes it here.
