Bunnies for the pot.

Post by Elmer » 05 Feb 2017, 7:43 pm

Back out in the paddock again during a warm day with persistent showers , have not eaten rabbit for several years now so I decided to get some Bunnies for the pot.
These little varmints were taken from 275 - 310yds with my .223 and once again proved deadly on the little critters.
The rain made it interesting with everything getting a nice coating of water not to mention me as well but it was a nice change to being deep fried every time I go out there.
So now I have some nice fresh rabbit halves in the freezer, better get some more before they they release K5 next Autumn.
cheers,
Sean.

Sharp shooting ... as always.

How are you going to cook them ?

I've got a few clean head shot ones in the freezer from the other day and I'm thinking about trying out a new rabbit recipe.

on_one_wheel,
slow cooked in a creamy garlic sauce isn't too bad.
crumbed is always good too.

Creamy garlic sounds nice. I recon I'll try that

The last one I cooked I did using an old family rosemary chicken recipe.
