very happy/proud moment when your boy gets his first reynard
we ended up with 3 but this dog was the best one for the night, his first and just on dark at 300
on my advice he held the crosshairs on the head hitting into the shoulder and destroying the heart lungs
l had to cough very loudly to get him to stop, my boy jumped when l did lucky we dont have fingers on triggers till we shoot
the rifle is a 17 ackley hornet using zmax 20 grainers, these are forming loads
so Stix sorry mate nothing to tell in fact l reckon you are better at getting foxes than me
the only thing l will say is l hate skinning them, if anyone has a good trick way let us all know

Once tanned, you should both date, write a message & sign the back of it in black permanant fine tip texta so it doesnt get lost or mixed in with others over the years... (dont mean to tell you what to do--just a suggestion )...

How to make a Tenterfield fox whistle

I have found materials a bit thicker than colourbond seem to work a bit better. This is based on the "Best fox whistle"

And don't forget to remove any burs.

Sure do stixs that fox was number 96 for this year 4 to go for 100 not a bad year chasing foxes for some reason I can't get enough fox shooting there are a lot of silly pups about at the moment plus I have a lot of land to hunt on I've got a good collection of skins plus a few cats there are foxes everywhere ya just have to look for good spots and be good at calling them

AJB What whistles are u using? Spotlighting?

I mainly call them by hand squeaking and I've used all types of whistles but the silva fox and apex work at times by hand squeaking I mean sucking in air kissing the top of your hand with a closed fist you will b surprised how many will come for a look you can get the noise quite loud foxes have top hearing but the key is don't go to loud there used to softer noises in the Bush I've seen them run away even blowing the whistle to loud

I think i need to try this"hand squeaking". Been slow for me lately.
