New NSW regs for Lever shotguns

Well got my letter today from the NSW registry.
Looks like the reclassification of levers is going
through. If you already have a more than 5 shot then
they will be categorized as a class D.'
If you don't have a class D you get to keep it under
the grandfather clause.( Only you can use it, until death do you part or sell it.)No lending to anyone without a D. 5 and under go from cat A to B,
You automatically get a B if you don't have one.

Can you use it just like a Cat B or are there Cat D restrictions on where and when you can use it?
If you own several seven-shot Adlers can you keep all of them?
Do they need to be stored compliant with Cat D regs?

This is only for NSW .

No change in storage requirements as it is under a B category even though it's a D cat firearm.

In other words they don't want another buyback disaster that we are still paying off.

This is only for shotguns.If you have a lever action shotgun you will get a letter.
Anything above 5 shots is a cat D.
5 and under is cat B.

Yes in simple terms you can keep your lever over 5 shots,but you can not lend it to anyone unless they have a D class license and after the 1/11 you can only purchase one with a D class license.
I know it's confusing but remember once you sell it you need a D class to buy it back.

Say I go tomorrow and put a 10 round magazine on my Adler and I'm in NSW. Does that mean I can keep it under cat B as long as I never give it to anyone. I have attached the letter and fact sheet below

Yes that's the way it reads.
Whatever do it before the 1/11 because PTAs will be invalid for this item under A or B.

They're probably going to wait til after the election to introduce into parliament here. Which is why its extremely important we all vote pro gun below the line.
