Hello, could anybody tell me what the suspension time is in NSW after losing licence. The registry said I can reapply sometime in the future with proof documents to support claims I have, but with no time limit.
It might be easier if we knew more about the circumstances around your suspension mate. Hard to say without knowing what happened for you to get knocked back
It's often united that 10 years is the time you need to demonstrate a clean record before you can apply for a firearms licence. However I'm sure that's worst case scenario
On another note seeing as this is your one and only post here I'd say if you're looking for legal advice on an Internet forum and not from a lawyer you are barking up the wrong tree.
thats fair, I was reported to the police by a disgruntled exwife for cannabis use. I use this for pain management and my doctor has made a statement to the fact as he has been treating me for years for stomach problems and conventional pain relief drugs severely inflame the problem. The registry says because I use cannabis which may I say is only ingested not smoked approx 1 hr before bed that I am disrespecting the law so therefore I am unfit and proper to hold a licence and due to the amount that was stored they believe I am a dealer which is absolute furtherest from the truth. I will be submitting another doctors report and a letter from my osteopath to show that I have been getting treatment from him. Well thats the gist of it,so if anybody has any information so as I can get my licence back it would be much appreciated.
Hey Chronos Its my one and only post because I just joined today and I am not looking for legal advice as I would use a solicitor for that what I am looking for is if somebody has had a similiar situation

i understand that but every case is different, your best course of action would be to use a lawyer and see what your options are, if you want the best deal for yourself you need the best advice
have a listen to this podcast with specialist lawyer stephen mainstone and decide for yourself if you could improve your situation with the help of a lawyer
