It says it's legal in Australia in the ad.

It looks like it is retracted all the way on the buffer tube, there is an adjusting lever, this will have to be pinned when you work out what LOP you desire.

If you slide a fixed stock onto the buffer tube that is not adjustable for length then no pinning required.

The "'modern" stocks are allowed they just cannot be folding, adjustable for length or,telescopic in NSW.

Yep, it's the collapsible and foldable stuff that gets their knickers in a twist.

If it's fixed and not too military looking  it's not a problem.

So here's what I understood so far:

If it's fixed/pinned it's legal in NSW?

Yes, they might not supply it pinned because LOP will differ with people.

There are MDT LSS chassis in NSW with pinned stocks.

Here's the answer back from the NSW FAR

Hi [NAME HIDDEN],

As long as it is permanently pinned there wouldn't be a problem. Permanently means it cannot be undone at all.

Thank you.

I thought it's better to get a written response before i spend $. Only thing left is to contact the supplier and ensure that it's permnanetly pinned. And if it is, then the problem becomes whether the LOP is long enough to fit my size.

The worry - completely unfounded and pointless as it is - is that the stock becomes more concealable (bulls**t, but this is what they say) and becomes a military looking firearm which is a no-no here.

That 4 inches a telescopic stock gives you make all the difference when trying to hide a metre long bolt action down your pants
