Hey guys,
I currently hold a NSW Firearms Licence for category H (still in the probationary period) and I've just recently completed the longarms safety course for category A and B, with the genuine reasons being target shooting and hunting/vermin control. All the paperwork is going to be sent off to the registry in the next couple of days.
My question: is the category H licence a separate licence to the rest (A, B, C, D, etc)? Or will the RTA give me an updated licence with A, B, H on it?
The reason I ask is because the range officer at the longarms course vaguely said it was 2 separate licences (though he didn't know too much about cat H/pistols), and it got me thinking. If it's true then that's 2 separate cards, with 2 separate fees... $200 each for 5 years. $400 every 5 years is a bit rough.
So yeah, one card with category H, and one card with category A and B? Or one new card with A, B, H - with one fee?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
