It doesn't sound like collected from the shop, so no, you are not in possession of, the shop is.

I have collected. Just did some research and realised both me and gun shop stuffed up. The benelli only has a 110mm barrel. Apart from driving 6 hours back to gun shop it appears my best option is hand off to a gunsmith or someone who can hold it until I can do a correct pta, which may mean waiting until my full cat H is through

Unfortunately, a recent NSW Coronial Enquiry has uncovered, through cross examination, the lack of expertise in NSW FAR. I must admit, that I have had good assistance with FAR when requested, maybe I was just lucky, I don't know.

What is the barrel length restrictions in NSW for cat H club use only.
I thought min for revolvers was 100 and semi auto was 120 and your on a PPL.
Being in position May cause you some realy problems sort it Quick the Gun shop that sold it to you will need it back quick may have to take a long drive. but first
does about 12 mm stick out of the frame just check you barrel length My baby eagle it marketed as a 110 barrel but the nsw variant they install longer barrel.

Hey Team,

Out of curiosity, was was the initial issue? Just asking some others can be aware of in case they find themselves in a similar situation.

Tried to guess, but I can't seem to find out how barrel length vs a PPL or a full H licence can be linked. The 120mm and 100mm restrictions are the same for both, PPL or Full.

Thank you,

Ben

The issue is the target pistol I purchased only has a 110mm barrel which is 10mm too short for a semi auto, however is acceptable as a specialist target pistol which requires a H6 pta. Once I get my full license, in train now so only 3 months or so to go, I’ll be able to apply for the H6 pta and then pick it up at the dealer.

Thank you. It makes sense. Might I ask what did you buy as a specialised H6 target pistol?

Thanks,

Ben

Just have to endure the wait for my cat H which will take a while. Applied last month. At least my ppl authority continues
