Well, it looks like bureaucratic heel dragging may work in my favour for once. I confirmed with my club and the member who was meant to acquire my CZ that the latter has yet to receive a PTA because the police have been too busy to perform the required safe inspection. Therefore, no formal transfer of ownership has yet occurred, and the pistol is still in the club's custody. All I need to do is return the money to the member once I receive my PPL, and all should be well.

I got my photo taken at Service NSW this week, and my licences should turn up in the mail within the next few weeks. I'm finally on the home stretch...
