Gun Safe Mounting

Post by Rider888 » 06 Oct 2023, 5:46 pm

Due to height limitations in my walk in, is there anything in regulation that stops me from mounting my A/B safe on its back instead of standing up? I have plenty of space in my robe to lie the safe down which means that I can still bolt it down in 4 points on my slab or is there something that requires a safe to be standing upright?
Thank you

as far as i know, as long as it's properly attached, it should be fine. orientation shouldn't matter.
keen to hear what others have to say.

Orientation means nothing at all, only that it is fixed to the structure in accordance with Law, (4 points) but from a safety aspect you might want to give some thought to a good prop to hold the door open to prevent injury from it dropping on your arm/hand, Cheers.

Or ask another midget to hold it open for you.
Perhaps the one who built your walk in
