Buying and importing replacement rifle stock

Is it possible to buy a gun stock from overseas and have it posted to one’s home address in nsw? Or is it a “gun part”?

Unless it's something unusual or adjustable there is no restriction. Border Force did grab one years ago but when I explained it was simply a conventional wooden stock they cleared it okay. It might make it easier if you did get a B709 import permit first and send a copy to the seller to include in the shipment just in case BF do decide to grab it.

Go to google type in "border force prohibited goods firearms". Go to the first result.

Halfway down the page lists what is and is not a firearms part. Took me longer to reply to your post than to find it.

Dose’nt take long to fill out a b709 either.
