If you still face delays of over 30 days for a PTA or 60 days for a Qld license, have a look at https://shootersunion.com.au/ministerial-email-generator/ It might help If you send a letter off.

Just got my Cat A/B approved after 8 weeks. Reading about the time people have been putting up with over the previous years, hopefully this is a good sign for others looking at applying soon.

I've been waiting for just over 10 weels for an A+B licence and still no word. Weapons licencing site says average 9 weeks. A mate who applied at the same time has received his e-mail about a week ago. Interested in any other recent experiences from forum members.

Just an update - after 12 weeks I sent an email queerying the length of time and my licence was approved the next day. I suspect someone may have gone on holidays without clearing their inbox. Anyway all good now.

Finally.. 14 days for the Mrs's Cat A snotgun using Occupational as genuine reason.
Getting her down to the shop during office hours is the issue, and the joint is literally 400m away... She has to sign for it so I can't do it.
