I just hope the other qld dealer aren't not promoting and publicizing this petition because it was initiated by another dealer.....

I think it would still stand as a formal petitioning of the Parliament, the sponsoring MP has been replaced by another LNP MP it appears........I'm not sure however with only 2251 signatures how seriously it will be taken by parliament. Theres another few days left (9/2/15).

I'm sure that had all QLD shooters been aware - they would have signed...

Here in Qld, these petitions are done through a government website, and are guarantied to be tabled in parliament. One of the big problems, it appears is some LGS's are refusing to pass on the message to their customers, mainly it seems because they, the LGS staff don't believe it will do any good, yet in the same breath will whinge and bitch about the amount of paperwork PTA's cause them. And all they really need to do is put an old lap top on their counter already on the petition page and let the punters decide for themselves if they want to sign.

yeah we should be getting crazy amounts of sigs but it seems to be not getting to people?

If that was the case then it would be very disappointing..... you'd think any opportunity to remove the PTA, dealers would be jumping at and shouting from the streets for support, it would after all allow WALK - IN purchases from bona fide lawful / licensed shooters..... I would have thought that would be good for business

Sad reality of these things.

They never get anywhere near the number of sigs compared to the numbers of people you know would benefit from taking 30 seconds to sign it.
