I applied on the 16th of Feb for a bolt action 243, so very similar to your application, and mine was approved on the 9th of this month, so 21 days.

I put in for my license on the 14th of March (post office visit around 19th) and two PTAs put in 23rd and 26th of March and I haven't heard a peep since the auto emails. Do you think it's too soon to call them up and beg them to stop watching youtube videos at home and take a look?

Waited over a month before I called them , then another call roughy two weeks later , still no joy. I’ll def b calling them at the 12 week period if no result. ....for those not aware , late last year Qld weapon licenceing was audited, to see if they were doing their job properly , recomdations were made on how to do their job better, so at times we may see delays, and pta not issued as easily, and promptly as before

This year all my cat B pta's have been taking between 21 and 28 days.

Approximately how many firearms do you own BLR? late last year my cousin and I put cat B ptas in on the same day, his pta was approved in 2 days, mine in 21 days. He already owned 3 firearms, I already owned 40. Made me wonder if it was just luck of the draw or if the more you own, it takes longer.
