Incorrect Expiry Date/s

Post by the_sovereign_man » 10 Jun 2021, 1:59 pm

My wife & I renewed our licences in Feb '21 and I've just noticed that the expiry dates (day/month) are our birthdays rather than the renewal date. It's added 2 months to my licence and 10 months to my wife's! Have I scored a win? Or will Weapons Licensing's system show our licences needing to be renewed again in Feb of the expiry year?

Section 20 Parts 1 through 3 of the Weapons Act 1990 answers your question.

I got an extra 9 months added to my license when I first got it but you only get that freebie once, the best part is extra time before I have to go through the pain of renewal and hope that WLB can get it processed before the current one expires.

Its simple here in W.A.The post office will take the payment and you have 3 months after the expiry date.If renewed early it still runs on the same date as normal
