Borrowing spare gun

Post by Craig » 26 Jun 2022, 6:09 pm

Can I borrow my sons shotgun to have as a backup at comps?
I would like to take his gun along with me ie pack 2 guns even though I only have 1 gun registered under my name.
Cheers

Pretty sure that’s fine. I’ve borrowed friends guns before, only ever used them privately on my farm though, and just locked them away with my own.

You just need a letter that states that it is loaned to you I believe. You and Him both have to have a copy. I'm fairly certain that's all you need.

obviously the gun your borrowing you have legal authority to possess (eg gun license matches firearm category)
