I'd be perfectly happy with that.

I understand the purpose of a waiting period, but just be up front with people about it.

Don't leave people in limbo for months.

12 weeks for licence wait is pretty standard in QLD, then my first PTA took 29 days, now every PTA I have put in lands in my letter box in 5 business days. Which I don't think is that bad.

Bugger me Dead this arrived on the e=mails today at 3-30

Dear Applicant,

I refer to your recently lodged application for a Weapons Act Licence; initial checks reveal you have provided the requested supporting documentation with your online application.

Assessment is yet to be conducted on your application or the suitability of the content of this supporting documentation. Weapons Licensing may still request further information from you to support your application or your suitability to hold a Weapons Act Licence.

A part of the application process is to provide proof of your identity. This is to be completed by 2 September 2014.

This was less than 24 hours since logging onto QWL sight!!!!! Now I know she's suss!!!!LOL

I have submitted my application on 22nd April 2014, got my Cat A/B Lic on 4th of Aug 2014 (issue date on the letter is 30-07-2014).

I have submitted my PTA exactly after 7 days of my weapon lic application and received it exactly after one week of my lic.

I had to send the PTA back for amendment, to change the dealer's name, and I am waiting for a response.
I hope this helps.

Car dealerships can handle vehicle regos these days. Cant imagine why LGS's couldn't do our stuff.

Completely pointless isn't it.

They're licensed to hold thousands of guns, but can't sell one to a licensed shooter without some pencil pusher miles away looking at a screen and ticking a box.

Such a pointless hurdle at the end.

Howdy Guys/Gals, I completed my WAO on the 14th of July and got the email that requested my 100 points of ID be presented to a police station yesterday. Which I completed. So I hope to see my licence in the next month sometime.
My question is, what is the general wait on PTAs at the moment? After the mandatory waiting period of course.
I took my time rifle shopping and lodging my PTA's thinking it would take at least 3 months for weapons licencing to get back to me.
I was wrong :(
